How do I order with Captain Cyan?
You can order via our portal, click here to login, or via email to [email protected]. The online portal will direct you through to the correct options for each different product, but if you need any help, just get in touch with our team who will be happy to assist you.
The portal will give you a quote which you can then use to raise a purchase order via UEL finance. We need a purchase order before we can print any job.
How do I raise a Purchase Order?

You can find instructions on using Agresso to raise a purchase order (PO) via this link.
Please add your name (and order number if you have already ordered) to the PO description so that we can avoid delays in processing your order.
How can I streamline the process?
Before you order for the first time we suggest that you raise a call-off purchase order which you can then reference with each individual order. This will avoid having to raise individual POs and get approval for each order, particularly if they are low value orders.
It also means that we can get your order turned around much more quickly, as we won't have to wait for the PO number before the order goes to production.
I need something really urgently! What do I do?
Plan ahead and get a call-off Purchase Order in place, then you'll have the capability to quote this for all orders, including anything urgent. Once a PO is in place in this way, it will work in the same was a Cost Code with the old internal print service.
We can also accept card payments, so it is possible to use a UEL or personal card to make payment.
What can Captain Cyan print?
Captain Cyan can print all kinds of small and large format documents and graphics. You’ll find detailed information on all of our products on the rest of our website, but remember to order via the UEL porta, or email, for UEL-specific pricing.
Can you help with what product I need to select?
Yes, of course. If you are not sure what you need to order just send us some example images, or a description, and we’ll make some recommendations.
What file format do you need artwork in?
Artwork should be supplied as PDF format please. However, we can process other file formats, and create standard UEL documents such as business cards. There is a small additional charge for artworking and design, just get in touch with our team for help with this.
Is there a minimum or maximum quantity?
There is no minimum order quantity, however, many of our products do have a minimum price and become more cost effective at volume, particularly for small format items. If you are looking to print a small number of pages, you may find it more cost effective to use the multi-function printers on campus.
There is no maximum order quantity, but if you have particularly large volume requirements, please get in touch for a tailored quote.
Where do you deliver on campus?
We will deliver your order free of charge to UEL’s Docklands and Stratford campuses. Orders will arrive at the post room, labelled with your name and order number. Small packages will be available to collect from staff pigeon holes, larger packages will be delivered to your department by the UEL Estates team.
What about student orders?
Student orders can be collected from dedicated collection points on the Docklands campus (in the old print room) and the Stratford campus (outside the post room). Please collect your order promptly (within 24 hours) as these locations are not monitored.
What about off campus locations?
We offer a range of delivery options for off-campus delivery, ranging from standard delivery via Royal Mail (2 to 5 working days) through to next day or even same day delivery. Our team can quote what options are available for your order.
How long will my order take?
Most orders are printed within 24 hours. Higher volume orders may take longer. If you need your order by a particular date (or time) just let our team know.
Campus deliveries are scheduled for every Tuesday and Thursday – we'll send your order on the next delivery run, as soon as it is ready. We’ll let you know as soon as the order is on the way.
It is possible to turn around orders faster, however, additional charges will apply for direct individual deliveries.
